The new ME rating. I have talked to several folks that have heard "rumors" that the interest and response is extremely lower than what they had anticipated. What have you all heard? We already know that the advancement has been locked up in anticipation of it's start up. Last I heard from someone in Charleston was that application rate was at about 25% and they were anticipating around 80%. These are not confirmed #'s, just scuttlebutt.

Rumors and blogs (official no less) are all the indicators anyone has. According to the official ME blog (http://merating.blogspot.com/) they have enough people to get the process started. So I guess we'll have to see on January 1 if all is good to go or not.

I don't know about the number of responses, but based on my own experience I suspect there are a significant number of applications attempting to negotiate the command endorsement maze...Mine has been in the chain of command for almost a month waiting on its endorsement, I'll hopefully get it back this week and submit it. I think there will be a surge of apps in the next two weeks.

One thing to remeber also is that all the billets that are being reprogrammed will not become ME billets until their current occupants get to their normal riatation date or lateral to ME. Even if all the ME slots were filled with shiny new ME's on Jan 1, their billets are not all going to be vacant and ready right away.

Ryan, I didn't know about the ME blog at all, thanks for the link!

Hello, I am proud of all of our men and woman in the CG. I have been a wife for over 10 years now and 6 wonderful kids. THe CG has been an amzing thing for all of us. But today it will end. My husband and his girlfriend who is also married and all are active duty with kids have decided that they just cant live without eachother and screw the rest of us. He will be getting kicked out and she will cont. her service. And nothing will happen to her. SO the children can suffer the wife can be blind sided and they walk like nothing in the world has ever happened. Please everyone think about things before you do them. Shiny and new is not worth wreaking your children your job. And a life that was not bad. Everyone has there ups and downs. I was the envolved wife who knew his job helped him study could hold my own at any dinner party or command function because I knew what I was doing. I never went trolling when the boat was gone. I took care of the kids house I was far from perfect but really.

Over drinks, we had great eye contact and the blind date uncensored conversation came easily. By the time we were seated for dinner, I was already feeling quite starry eyed and charmed. “I think I’ve finally found my Mr. Right,” I secretly celebrated.

This is a wonderful opinion. The things mentioned are unanimous and needs to be appreciated by everyone.
